I have been a professional jazz bassist since 1985. Performing with various jazz and R&B groups in the WNY and overseas. I toured for five years with Taylor Made Jazz through the Department of Defense at military bases and embassies around the world. With this group, I received four Buffalo and Nightlife Music Awards for best R&B bassist and also for best R&B band.

In the 90s I formed an all-female jazz group "Ladies First Jazz". Into 2002 this group expanded into a 16 piece big band. Both groups have won and been nominated numerous times for Buffalo and Nightlife Music Awards. "Ladies First Jazz" Combo and the Big band have performed at many venues in the Buffalo and surrounding area, most recently at the Lewiston Jazz Festival and Chautauqua Amphitheater. I have taught individual piano, bass and guitar lessons for over 12 years at Nardin Elementary Academy afterschool and at the pro music center as well privately. I have also been a performing/teaching artist with young audiences Inc. since 2000. I also run a ukulele sing-along at various locations.

I truly enjoy teaching, giving the gift of music is wonderful. To enable a person to be able to enjoy, play, express themselves, and to appreciate music is very rewarding. Music has always been a big part of my life. I have always been learning different instruments and listening to different styles of music, with a preference to jazz. I have been performing since 1985 with duos and big bands; it is a big part of my life. Music is the universal language and touring overseas it was a joy to "talk "with others. I have had so many wonderful experiences performing, and met so many wonderful people. It has taken me all over the world.

There are so many artists I feel inspired by, locally and internationally. Music is a joy, I am inspired by it's joy. The one thing I really like about music is there is always so much more to learn. It is a never ending learning and sharing experience.
