shadi mohagheghi

senior application engineer

shadi mohagheghi, ph.d., is a senior application engineer and technical account manager within the wireless communication domain at mathworks. prior to joining mathworks, shadi worked on positioning, navigation, and timing of gps satellites at the aerospace corporation. she finished her ph.d. at uc santa barbara in electrical and computer engineering and her bs at uc los angeles. her graduate research was focused on algorithm design for multi-agent systems. shadi has participated in several outreach, mentorship, and teaching programs throughout her academic and professional career.

louvere walker-hannon

application engineering senior team lead

louvere walker-hannon is a mathworks application engineering senior team lead who provides strategic direction and technical guidance to application engineers and customers regarding image processing, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, geospatial analysis, artificial intelligence, and data science. a prominent theme in her career is communication of technical concepts to various audiences and being involved with stem education. as a program presenter, louvere was the lead educator of stem topics for cahners computer place within the boston museum of science. louvere volunteers with black girls code, the national society of black engineers (nsbe), the society of women engineers (swe), and women in data science (wids). she became a wids ambassador in 2022 and has presented at many stem conferences. louvere has a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and a master's degree in geographic information technology with a specialization in remote sensing.

lela ellerbe

associate support engineer

lela ellerbe is an associate support engineer at mathworks, where she has made significant contributions to technical support, particularly in addressing deployment-related inquiries for mathworks products. additionally, she has been involved in projects focusing on machine learning, product security, and verification, validation, and test. she holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from the georgia institute of technology.

elvira osuna-highley

principal customer success engineer

elvira osuna-highley, ph.d., is a principal customer success engineer with mathworks, where she is a part of a global team that supports faculty and researchers with integrating computational tools into their work. before joining mathworks, she was on the faculty of the computational biology department at carnegie mellon university. she holds a doctorate in biomedical engineering from carnegie mellon university, where her research involved applying machine learning techniques to fluorescence microscope images.

yoke peng leong

application engineering senior team lead

yoke peng leong, ph.d., is an application engineering senior team lead at mathworks. she provides technical guidance and strategic direction to help companies deploy efficient engineering workflows using matlab and simulink platforms. she has supported engineers/managers to improve their engineering development and deployment processes involving cross-functional teams for various applications including aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, robotics, and others. she also manages a team of application engineers.

prior to mathworks, yoke peng earned a b.s./ m.s. in mechanical engineering from northwestern university, and a ph.d. in control and dynamical systems from california institute of technology, where she developed optimal control synthesis techniques for nonlinear systems such as robots using methods in machine learning, controls, optimization, and formal methods.
