blocks in the simscape™ driveline™ libraries transmit physical signals. you cannot plot or perform mathematical operations on physical signals using regular simulink® blocks without passing the physical signal through a sensor block and a ps-simulink converter block. sensor blocks measure the variables in a physical signal and output a proportional control signal. converter blocks convert the control signal to a signal that can be input to regular simulink® blocks.
